The Dubrovnik Diplomatic Forum started in 1998 as a pioneer project of the Central European Initiative (CEI) and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, together with the University of Zagreb and its Centre for Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS) in Dubrovnik. Having started as international conference in the field of diplomacy and diplomatic training, the Forum has over the years grown into an annual event of its kind in this part of Europe, gathering high state officials, experts and academics, as well as young diplomats.
